I was high risk for diabetes due to family history and hypoglycemia. I actually took the test mentioned above twice...once at 18 weeks and again at 30 weeks. I was not diagnosed with gd until the 30 week test. We attempted to control with diet but my response was so distinctly diabetic that I had to go on insulin shots. However, I was Not pressured to have a c-section. In fact, I know more women who had csections with no gd then with. We were monitored with biophysical tests weekly from 36 weeks on and our doctor recommended we wait as long as possible and let nature take its course. I want to note that our doctor specialized in csections and is top rated for his successful care and delivery via csections. But again he never once pressured us. Our son kicked himself out at 38 weeks and we had natural delivery. I think this article does have good advice in general but I do not think that people should refuse the test. Rather they should be educated about their choices and find a doctor who is reputable and respects the process and holds high risk for truly as necessary cases.

My first birth was with an OB and CNMs and I had the 28 week RhoGam. My birth was caesarean and I had the postpartum shot.

For my second birth, I chose to birth at home with a midwife and decided not to worry about RhoGam unless there was reason to think there was blood mixing, as in the case of a car accident or certain birth interventions. I had a lovely, natural, straightforward birth and did not do the postpartum shot. The baby was RH+. Additionally, I asked my doctor to check my antibodies when the baby was 6 months just to be sure nothing had changed, which I thought would be nice information to have in regard to making future child bearing decisions. Nothing had changed in my blood.

My third, fourth, and fifth babies were also born at home, peacefully and without any interference, not done RhoGam during or after the pregnancies, and I have never looked back.

I know that mysterious and unintended things can happen in pregnancy and birth but my opinion is that most of this "blood mixing" business is caused by interventions during pregnancy and birth.
Also, when I was researching RH factors, I discovered there are additional blood factors that are somewhat more rare but can cause the very same problems. Why aren't we testing and treating and worrying everyone about those as well?

I have both the Norwex and the E-cloth products. I wanted to compare them side by side. I honestly can't tell a difference and I asked both the reps tons of questions. They answered them the same. The e-cloth rep said they are guarenteed for 300 washes OR you can get the Professional Line and they are guarenteed for 1,000 washes. I'm guessing that is 2-3 years? I haven't found any coupon codes for the Norwex Antibac cloths... maybe someone can help me with that? Since e-cloth is a better price, I'm buying e-cloths :)

I love yogurt i also love to put different fruits into it. Though i wouldnt do the garlic thing i have heard of olive oil massages that actually help in two ways, they will help to get the parenium ready for birth AND introduces natural antibacterial and antibiotic items into the vaginal and anal area (the massage get oil in that area due to the amount used to massage) it actually kills the bad stuff and leaves much o fthe good bacteria alone! also if one increases their ginger and berry intake they can naturally kill yeast anf promote good flora! im going to start the massages around 25 -30 weeks and i will be getting big things of real desi yougurt (tangy like greek but does sweet and savory better) and eating it with fruits!!
